its June, people! oh my god time's passing too fast. all of a sudden, half a year's passed, 2009 has reached its midpoint. kind of apprehensive, no? goodness, it's kind of scary to me, that you really dont notice time till it's gone by. in a flash, it'll be christmas, and then 2010. 2010's kind of exciting though, with YOG and everything. somehow it makes me feel that my future, the future that ive been thinking of, will arrive sooner than i expect.
need to read a few good books; have been
trying to read the bourne ultimatum, but its kind of hard to read, unlike tom clancy. i like straightforward secret agent stuff in books, leave the double and triple agents to the movies. haha. i want to know who's the bad guy and who's the good guy when im reading.
heard Vikas Swarup has a good book in Six Suspects; havent read his Q & A yet though, so ill probably tackle those this hols. btw, the new layout is rather like the old one, but i thought we could go a bit more subdued this time round. haha.

results are out, the holiday weeks are passing, the term will start again before we know it. but at least next semester we'll get the school building we've been hoping for. please oh please give me the washlets in the toilets! follow the tradition in the hss library lah. haha. last sem was a tough one, though, but i think we all got through it alright. =) but im not so sure about public admin now; can i still do it as a minor? damn. have to spend some time thinking about that now.
bought the philips hair multistylist thing, so i can have a bit of fun with my hair. haha. its long enough now, but i have no idea how long before i cnt tahan its messiness. so that'll be when the hair curling irons come into play. its hard though, an acquired skill, needs practice and more practice.
yankees on espn in a little bit. when will wang chien-ming come back?
andy's gg to taiwannnn in a few days. i want to go too. and dre, thanks for the wonderful information about arashi hor. =( you guys better bring back more taiwan foodstuff for me to compensate.
i want everything sweet and savoury, except lao po bing, though i dont think that's taiwanese? oh well. taiyang bing also can lah, as long as nice to eat can le. no mochi though! ahaha.

The new batch of Linguistics juniors - met a few of them at the HSS Tea Party last weekend, and I think we do have a great group coming in this year =) incl. Lydia! goodness, fate sia, that we would end up in the same course.
LMS club - whoopee we are getting started to work stuff out, so that we'll be up and running officially by next year
Harry Potter HBP - the movie. can WB not push opening dates backwards anymore? cnt wait cnt wait cnt wait. =D speaking of movies adapted into books, i thought angels and demons was a good effort, but i felt the show wasn't emotional enough to bring across that urgency that we were supposed to feel throughout the movie. too much cuts, i could feel; made the move a little choppy. but oh well, i didnt go in expecting to be blown away. would have been great, though, if it had.

Joe Hisaishi in Budokan last August to celebrate Studio Ghibli's 25th anniversary, playing everything from Nausicaa to Sprited Away to Mononoke Hime to Totoro, with a full orchestra and choir. whoopps, definitely good.

this song really stays in your head. i mean, its a good catchy song, just that when i watched them live, somehow, a bit not impactful enough, voices not powerful enough.. or something, just that something's missing from the equation to be really great. oh well. not that i listen to korean songs often. >_<
i spent the whole of last night finishing up angels and demons once more, just in time for the movie! i know, people might find it weird why im re-reading the book just before the movie, and then ill expect too much from it. oh well. a good movie will still be a good movie nevertheless, so i cnt wait to see what ron howard comes up with this time. da vinci code was a tad too weird, i felt. i think its because of the script.
but i read that they changed the script quite a bit this time round as well. what ewan mcgregor doing as a camerlengo thats NOT italian? *confused even though i love his accent we'll just have to wait and see how its been adapted, i guess.
im broke. savee mehh. i just bought stuff from esprit and now im a member. esprit i havent entered since ages and suddenly i go in and spend 150 bucks. whoops.

yeah i know i havent been blogging ever since the start of the exams, and up till now, when its one week after the exams heh. its golden week in japan, and its golden week every day for me here at home! KL was a blast, but i didnt really do much shopping actually, just bought a few essentials. but the hotel was great, the view spectacular and KL the same as i remembered it.
who doesnt love krispy kreme? simin, xinlan and i went crazy over them. and we happened to be here the day it opened in berjaya times square. whoopee!
the view outside the hotel room was something to look at every morning =)
have been catching up on a lot of japanese dramas recently, and rewatching the ones i miss quite a bit. sort of gg around with half closed eyes because my body clock is out of whack, sleeping at 4, 5 in the the morning and only waking up at noon. was back in school ytd and realised linguistics interviews were still gg on. i wonder how next year's batch are going to be. oh well, we'll get to see them during the tea party, so it should be fun. pan pac plus free food here i come!
i think its krispy kreme time now.
